I've always believed that the overly inspection nature of advertising is too much, but seeing that video about how they've done it on children just makes it feel even more grotesque. Watching them react to television and sending them out to advertise to friends outright feels like exploitation to me, all that examining of minds that are barely developed just to sell products is unethical. Children shouldn't be subject to those kind of experiments just because corporations want to hold a grip on parents wallets. It's outrageous that those practices have been maintained for so long and continue to be maintained. Points of the movie showing corporations practices was just hard to watch, especially when the advertisement worker came on and said she didn't' know if their actions where ethical or not, she just knew they made money.

I believe the Quebec decision has made is a valid one, corporations shouldn't be able to freely use their predatory advertising tactics against children who can't even fully comprehend that they're being advertised to. They're protecting their children from forces that they cannot completely comprehend and that's great. I don't think this type of measure is drastic and I would like to see similar legislation to this in the States, corporations here run too freely with unregulated practices.
