Where are you from?

I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. Born and raised been here for like a century.

Tell a story about your hometown that illustrates why you love or hate it.

I'm not a big fan of Cleveland. One time,  I was in my high schools lunchroom. It had been a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary. I went into the lunch line and grabbed a chicken sandwich like I had done countless times before. When I sat down I took off the bun to put sauce on it, and right there, in the middle of my sandwich is green mold. Needless to say I threw it away and that was the last time I ever went in the lunchroom. I feel like that's a metaphor for all of Cleveland, disappointment.

What brings you to this course?

I was talking to the guidance counselor who was making my schedule and he suggested digital communications. I asked him about the course and he only had to give me a brief summary before I promptly agreed.

What do you most want to learn in this course?

The many ways people have interacted and communicated with one another over the years, learning about the past and how people used to do things is always an interesting experience.

What is your major, or if you are not yet sure of that, what are the options you are considering?

No major just yet, but I'm considering digital communications, it seems really neat. A lot of majors I just can't see myself pursuing, but digital communications is a little different then the rest. Psychology is also something I've been leaning towards a bit.

Where do you obtain your news?Phone Cartoon Icon - Free vector graphic on Pixabay

This sounds like a bit of an odd source but my phone. I'm not a big fan of tv anymore so I don't watch much of it, but something I'm constantly looking at is my phone. There are so many different places on a phone where you can get news, but my primary two are apple news and Forbes. I don't have any specific news outlets that I prefer over others though, I'm usually always looking at different ones. The onion is my favorite.

List five words that describe you:

Peaceful, skeptical, sleep enthusiast(this counts as 1 right?), thinker, and balanced.

Tell a story about yourself that amplifies one or more of those adjectives (for example, something you have done, a dream for your future, a project or activity you've engaged in that helped to shape the person you are). Post a picture if you have one that goes with that story.

When I was still in high school I was involved in a program called provost scholars. My school took its best and brightest on Tuesdays and Thursdays to the Case Western campus to learn. I went to seminars, studied, and was even tutored by students on campus. Being on that campus and seeing everything, truly trying my best to take it all in was amazing. I never thought about college much before that program, but after it I knew i was meant to be on a college campus, I was meant to learn and become something better. I feel like this story involves a little bit of thinker, I only made it to the program in the first placing because I was thinking and doing my best in school.
