Most of the readings for this course will be posted to Canvas. However, a few readings will be in books which you will need to obtain on your own (buy, rent, borrow, download, steal) (actually, don't steal).

The three books you need are the following:

Dynamics of Faith by Paul Tillich (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060937130) Any edition is fine - digital is also OK.
Life of Pi by Yann Martel (http://www.amazon.com/Life-Pi-Yann-Martel/dp/0156027321/) Any edition is fine here, too. Digital is fine.
What the Buddha Taught by Walpola Rahula. An PDF version of an early edition of this book is available for free online at this link: http://www.dhammaweb.net/books/Dr_Walpola_Rahula_What_the_Buddha_Taught.pdf The print version is much nicer, but the content is essentially the same.

You will need the Tillich text first, so make that one a priority.
